Subject: Super Bowl
Super Bowl ... if we did mention it, I obviously dismissed it mentally as a trivial conflict. What was I thinking!!
The choice of the last week in January was to find a time when the ski slopes would be reasonably un-populated. (Looks like the slopes could be empty that Sunday). And I agree. Our class is far more likely to enjoy the social traditions wrapped around the Super Bowl than a ski trip.
In truth, I expected most couples to plan some combination of an extended weekend (3-4 days, Thurs-Sun or Fri-Mon, whatever worked into their schedules). Only the blue-blood-bargain-hunters and die-hard-social-set to stay the full week. With that thinking, then the weekend we choose is critical.
So .... what say you??
Viva... you blocked off that week on your rental calendar. If we switch dates than what other opportunities are open for you?
Spring skiing is nice weather (but the erratic snow conditions are hard on new-or-infrequent skiers and annoying to others)
I am open to dates and other than Presidents weekend and Christmas holiday, we should have little problem finding lodging this early.
But I do think we need to decide soon. Else we will introduce different problems with scheduling.
