I just realized something about the Tuesday to Tuesday date:  Sunday, Feb. 1 is Super Bowl Sunday.  I have annual commitments that time of year.  That means, if it's the Tuesday to Tuesday date - I'll either only be there for a couple of days (say, Tuesday to Friday) or not at all (I do all the cooking for The Big Game).  As much as we might like to think we've gotten beyond such things, Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most widely celebrated non-holidays in the country.  Attendance for that week could be adversely affected because of it.  Even the Saturday to Saturday time slot the week before could be a bit of problem.  It might mean cutting back to Saturday to Wednesday or Thursday for me.  (It could be that I'll only be able to spend a portion of a week no matter when it is, anyhow!)

 

Anyway, I'm sure those of you who have been looking into all this have looked at a zillion different dates and combinations of dates.  I don't mean to be a johnnie come lately on all this, but the timing could be quite problematic.  Let me know if this has been discussed and the conclusions that were come to if it has!

 

Unless this throws some sort of monkey wrench into the whole deal, I can send out my email anytime John's message gets posted on the site.  Let me know when that happens and I'll unleash the email to the masses...

            Is there a way to place something on the web site for people to sign up onto, so that people can see who has signed up in real time and so that no one person is designated to receive all of the emails?  So far Judie has received notes from three people who are just saying that they can not participate.  I'm envisioning something that is simple and efficient where they leave their name, phone number and email address.

The Breckenridge mount lodge wrote back and graciously declined.  I SCARED THEM OFF WITH A 30 ROOM HEADCOUNT.  My suggestion is to setup a photo collection for the class to browse of Viva's complex.   We start booking there through one of her sites and have an overflow facility if we do get a large response.  (The Breckenridge mountain lodge is still top choice but for individual reservations and their rates are reasonable.....  they just may get a room if they DONT use my name!)
